Leidos is going to purchase the special mission business of Cobham. Source Leidos has made the announcement that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Cobham Limited to acquire the Special Mission business of Cobham Aviation Services Australia. This will add airborne surveillance and search and rescue operations to the portfolio of services offered by Leidos Australia. The Australian federal government uses the services of the Special Mission business to provide airborne border monitoring as well as search and rescue operations. According to a press release issued by Leidos, the closure of the transaction is contingent on the typical circumstances, including permission from regulatory authorities.
